Kayseri University Distance Education Application and Research Center was established with the regulation published in the Official Gazette numbered 30845 on July 28, 2019. Our center aims to:

• Conduct research and development activities on distance education and teaching topics.
• Encourage, support, and enable public institutions, private organizations, and individuals to benefit from all kinds of education, teaching, research, and applications related to distance education and teaching.
• Plan scientific and technological research related to distance education and teaching, develop strategies, carry out and encourage appropriate applications that align with the center's objectives.
• Provide consultancy services for the establishment of distance education and teaching systems needed by public institutions and private organizations, perform system analysis, and provide technical and office services upon request.
• Plan, open, implement, and coordinate in-service education and teaching, courses, certificate programs, seminars, conferences, and similar activities for undergraduate, completion, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs within the university, in the form of distance education and teaching or blended education and teaching, for national and international institutions, organizations, and individuals, and ensure the coordination and harmony of these activities.
• Determine the content and educational programs for courses, seminars, conferences, programs, and sections given in the form of distance education and teaching, credit them, provide certificates of participation, passing, or similar documents according to the type of education and teaching, determine the procedures and principles for registration, admission, exam, success, passing of courses, and similar processes, identify and assign teaching staff, and ensure cooperation and coordination.
• Determine the course contents required for both university and external projects, work on their accreditations, provide consultancy services, and ensure the necessary coordination.
• Collaborate with national and foreign organizations in research and applications related to distance education and teaching and participate in international and national organizations.
• Benefit from or contribute to the formation of laboratories, libraries, smart classrooms, classrooms, studios, and other educational facilities of all units of the university regarding distance education and teaching.
• Conduct national and international research on distance education and teaching, publish papers, articles, and books, carry out academic journals, conferences, congresses, symposiums, and similar activities, apply for national and international project supports, and encourage these activities.
• Plan the education and teaching of the distance education non-thesis master's programs to be opened within the Graduate School of Education and ensure coordination and harmony for the implementation of these programs.
• Carry out other activities to be decided by the Board of Directors.
