ATTENDACE REQUIREMENTS
Kayseri University Distance Education Attendance Requirements
According to the decision of our university senate regarding the courses that will be conducted via distance education in the 2022-2023 academic year spring semester, attendance is mandatory in these courses.
-
In distance education courses, students are required to attend classes by participating in live classes (synchronous watching) or by watching the recordings of the classes (asynchronous watching) within legal limits. In this context, students are required to fulfill the attendance requirements specified in "Kayseri University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Training Regulation" and "Kayseri University Graduate Education and Training Regulation."
-
According to these regulations, "Students are required to attend classes, practices, and exams. The limit for attendance requirement is at least 70% in theoretical courses and at least 80% in applied courses. Students who fail to meet these requirements cannot take the end-of-semester or end-of-year exams."
-
Students are required to attend classes for at least 10 weeks during the spring semester.
- If classes are watched live or via recordings, they will be counted as attendance.
-
The last date for watching classes via recordings is June 2, 2023. After this date, recordings watched will not be counted as attendance in order to prepare for final exams and identify students who failed to meet the attendance requirement. Therefore, it is important to watch the classes via recordings or live before this date and fulfill the attendance requirements.
-
When fulfilling the attendance requirements, it is recommended not to postpone watching the recordings until June 2, 2023, in order to prevent system congestion and to benefit from the system efficiently.
-
Short-term entrances and exits to the classes will not be accepted. Therefore, it is mandatory to watch and participate in classes for at least half of the class time.
